The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BUREAU) has need for a virtual peer recovery support service to augment traditional mental health and substance use disorder treatment for inmates referred by Community Treatment Services (CTS).  The service will provide a mobile application, will provide through tele-support or video-support mechanisms, and will be delivered to males and female inmates on personal cellular phones, laptops, and tablets. The virtual peer recovery support service will make certified peer support specialists available to the CTS inmate population 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. The peer support service will provide proactive support to inmates in recovery from mental health or substance use disorders. The peer support service will provide ongoing risk assessments and will monitor inmate quality of life perceptions.
