Description
1. The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from duly registered and licensed companies for the provision of Airport Handling Services at six (6) locations namely Kinshasa, Goma, Bunia, Beni, Bukavu, Uvira, and other locations on a needs-basis, in DR Congo.
All services must strictly conform to the IATA’s Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) and IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM) Standards at a minimum.
2. These Airport Handling Services include, but are not limited to the following services:
- Aircraft Handling;
- Passenger, Cargo and Dangerous Goods Handling Services;
- Mail and Pouch services;
- Traffic and Shipping Services.
The Aircraft types currently operated by the United Nations include, but are not limited to the following:
AN-26B, B-1900, Bell 212, C-130, C-130B, CRJ200, C-130J, L-382G, MI-8-24, MI-171, MI-8-RA, MI-24, ERJ-145-CR, MI-26T, MI-8MTV UR, Oryx, Puma, ROOIVALK, SAAB 340B, DCH-8 and MI-17.
3. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly, intends to issue a request for proposal to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be required to complete UN Vendor registration for level 2 on the UN vendor database accessible at www.ungm.org
4. The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience. Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are able to meet the requirement. Interested vendors must provide the following documents with their response:
- Copy of the registration certificate / license(s) of the company;
- Evidence of at least (3) three years of providing Airport Handling Services;
- a copy of the valid ISO 9001 certificate or equivalent for Quality Management;
- a copy of a valid ISO 45001 certificate or equivalent, for Occupational Health and Safety.
5. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation to submit bids.
6. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the solicitation documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the deadline indicated below.
