Prior to submitting a tender(s) Energinet (the Danish national transmission system operator for electricity and natural gas) wishes to investigate relevant requirements to be included in a tender for the development of a trading algorithm.
Energinet has identified the following requirements:
- Query of data (requested volumes) from an external publication page
- Netting of volumes if both bids and offers are present in the same bidding zone (BZ) within the same hour
- Initiates trades once capacity has been provided on the borders (check via external page)
- Ability to log all trading data and sent it upon request
- Ability to publish the traded volumes for each market time unit (MTU).
- Differentiate between requests from different TSOs such that the minimum/maximum price at which the requesting TSO is willing to sell/buy energy can be respected.
- Additional requirement – settlement of the traded volumes directly with requesting
Further to this, Energinet wants to investigate whether a third party could be interested in providing the service of trading on behalf of Energinet. Energinet wants to investigate this prior to submitting a public tender, as there may be challenges with regulatory compliance in case the third party also wants to be active on the intraday market for own gains.
Input to Energinet can be provided during an approximately ½ hour phone/Microsoft Team’s interview.
Responses regarding participation in the market dialogue must be sent by mail to Astrid Buhr Broge; abg@energinet.dk. Responses must be sent no later than Friday October 29th 2021.
In case there are many parties who wants to participate in the market dialogue, Energinet will choose whom to contact.
