OBJECTIVE 6. As part of the implementation of the above-mentioned project, the World Bank is seeking the services of consultants and/or a consulting team for Activity (1) to perform the following two studies: (i) a diagnostic study of the institutional and regulatory frameworks for plastics and (ii) a material flow analysis and assessment of the plastics value chain. C. SCOPE OF WORK 7. The mains tasks are detailed below: Task 1: Institutional and regulatory frameworks and policies and stakeholder assessment 1.1 Review and analyze regulations and executive schedules related to sustainable plastic management, including waste and economic sectors 1.1.1. Identify current policies or regulations for managing plastics sustainably (e.g. command-and-control policy approaches and financial instruments) and their effectiveness 1.1.2. Assess economic incentives/lack of incentives for private sector engagement 1.1.3.
