ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW Assignment Title: 1277158- LEBANON MSME INSURANCE SURVEY Assignment Countries:- Lebanon ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION In Lebanon, a diagnostic and scoping project (the Project) has been established to explore the feasibility of rolling out MSME insurance in the country. It will also propose insurance solutions that would strengthen the resilience of MSMEs, while also improving their credit worthiness, productivity, and profitability. This project is funded by the MSME 2.0 Facility- a multi-donor program managed by the WBG and supported by the governments of Sweden and Switzerland- which was established to improve access to finance by MSMEs in the MENA. The IFC seeks to recruit a survey firm (Firm) to conduct a survey of MSMEs within pre-identified priority sectors, aiming for a total response of around 2,700 MSMEs, cutting across the three key priority sectors, different regions, and enterprise sizes (1,112 micro, 994 small, and 570 medium size companies), and collect information required to identify their key risks, potential insurance solutions, and their insurance appetite. The three pre-identified priority sectors from which MSMEs samples will be drawn are: 1. Wholesale, Retail Trade and Repairs; 2. Real Estate, Renting and Business Activities; and 3. Manufacturing. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
