A technical validation of the concept notes will be conducted and successful bidders in the EOI process will be contacted to develop partnership agreements with UNICEF, with funding determined by county needs and agency capacity. Partnership agreements will go through rigorous review and Partnership Review Committees in UNICEF before approval.
More information on the scope of this EOI will be provided in a meeting for interested partners on Wednesday, May 23rd at 2 pm at the Magna Suites in Gigiri .
Bidders are requested to submit concept notes for each thematic areas of interest with a minimum length of 3 and maximum length of 5 pages. Bidders may consider multiple counties and thematic areas, with one concept note submitted per thematic area (covering all geographical implementation areas being applied for). Concept notes should include a letter of support from respective County/National Governments.
Bidders should meet the following criteria: Experience working in the nutrition sector in Kenya; experience of the thematic area applied for; an ability to work constructively with national and county level governments in Kenya; a working relationship with the County applied for; an excellent understanding of the context for nutrition in Kenya, including the implications of devolution. Bidders are encouraged to consider how they will build on existing programmes and work with and through existing partners at county level.
