Description

Institution to carry out an independent assessment study of disability inclusion in services at community level in Zimbabwe. A National Assessment of Disability Inclusion in Services for Children at Community Level - Study on Social Protection for Children with Disabilities.

Purpose : To assess the availability, accessibility and functionality of key services for children with disabilities including in rural areas, in order to establish the needs, the barriers and bottlenecks to accessing community based services for children and persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe in order to  inform future planning. In keeping with the UNCRPD and the National Disability Policy provide recommendations/models based on international best practice for improving community-based service provision. The assessment will focus on key services including education; rehabilitation, health services; justice delivery and child protection.
