This monitoring programme has been established to satisfy Ireland's obligations in respect of the monitoring requirements of the WFD for groundwater.
The contract awarded will cover groundwater sampling and field parameter analysis for all samples and microbiological analysis (for approximately one in four samples) at 270 no. sites in the EPA’s national groundwater quality monitoring programme for three sample rounds in 2022.
