II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
The tender contest is to enter into a contract for the operation of the national ferry road connection Hjelmeland – Nesvik – Skipavik. In order to achieve the paramount goals for zero emission for the ferry sector, the Contracting Authority requires development of technology for zero emissions for ferry connections not suitable for total electric operation. The objective of this contract is to facilitate development of a ferry where the minimum energy requirement is covered by hydrogen.
