Assignment Title: Hiring of Firm for Solar Energy Design & Supervision at Heritage Sites in Punjab
Reference No: PK-PTEG-267389-CS-CQS
The main objective of the assignment is to “Design and Supervise installation of Solar Energy System” at Heritage sites in Punjab in order to promote use of green energy, reduce load on the national grid and reduce energy operating costs at sites.
Hence the proposed assignment is for the development of site-specific designs for installation of Solar Energy & Supervision during installation of these Systems at sites mentioned below.
- Jahangir’s Tomb, Lahore
- Shalimar Gardens, Lahore
- Hiran Minar, Shekhupura
- Rothas Fort, Jehlum
- Taxila Museum, Taxila Rawalpindi
- Harrapa Museum and site, Harrapa
- Wah Garden, Wah Rawalpindi
The firm is expected to provide the action plan in form of a report to PMU-PTEGP
The PTEGP intends to invite eligible consulting firms, to indicate their interests for the aforementioned assignment. The interested firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications/competencies and relevant experience to perform the required services.
Firms should provide information about their eligibility and competencies in the following areas:
- General Experience: At least 10 years post registration experience, in Electrical, Civil, Solar Energy related assignments.
- Specific Experience: Relevant Experience of having completed at least five (5) dealing with renewable energy technologies, and a track record of relevant work in Pakistan.
- The firm should have successfully completed at least two (02) assignments of similar scale and complexity, out of which at least one assignment has involved renewable energy.
- Firm should have adequately established offices.
- Availability of technical facilities and equipment to carry out relevant tasks.
- Availability of appropriate skills and staff. (as per TORs)
5. Weightage will also be given to those applicant firms having experience of working with development partners, and Public sector Departments of same nature.
6. Applicant firms will provide proof of the company/firm’s registration in Pakistan with SECP or relevant professional/regulatory authority etc.
7. The applicant firms must not be debarred to participate in the competition process by World Bank. Bank’s debarment list will be used for reference.
8. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants, January 2014 by World Bank Borrowers.
9. Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications. Consultants should clearly indicate such arrangements
10. Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultants’ Qualification Based Selection (CQS) method set out in the Consultant guidelines: Selection and employment of consultants under IBRD loans and IDA credits & grants by World Bank borrowers January 2011, revised July 2014.
