This Consultancy work is under the Education and Skills Development Division (AHHD1) within the Bank’s Human Capital, Youth and Skills Development Department (AHHD). AHHD1 focuses on scaling-up of the Bank’s support to education, human capital and skills development. The work will be delivered in partnership with other divisions. AHHD1 is seeking to recruit an individual consultant to develop to support the preparation of the Programme Completion Report for the Zambia: Education for Sustainable Development in Africa (ESDA). Under the overall supervision of the Manager of AHHD1, the Consultant shall carry out an in-depth assessment, which covers all aspects of project management and implementation activities. Generally, the project performance will analyze the following dimensions: (i) relevance, (ii) effectiveness, (iii) efficiency; (iv) sustainability of results; (v) performance of stakeholders, (vi) key lessons learned from the project implementation; and (vii) key recommendations. The position is open to candidates from member countries of the African Development Bank Group. Interested candidates are hereby invited to express their interest for this position, clearly outlining their qualifications and experience, including sharing their CVs, references for similar services, experience in comparable assignments, such as list of previous contracts of similar nature undertaken. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Rules and Procedures for the Selection of Consultants of the African Development Bank. The required qualifications and expertise are defined in the TORs. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Only individual consultants will be considered for this Expression of Interest. Please note that an expression of interest by an individual does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include an applicant in the shortlist. The expected duration of the assignment will be for a period of 30 working days spanning from February to April 2022. The indicative date for the commencement of the assignment is 7 th February 2022. The consultancy shall essentially be home-based. However, the Consultant may be required to travel subject to the evolving COVID-19 travel restrictions and advisories.
