Description of Work:
As part of an applied research program, Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) - Valcartier Research Center (VRC) is developing specialized software tools that are complementary to those available on the market and that allow for the enhancement of the on-line cyber surveillance (OCS) of a government industrial control system (ICS). The primary OCS tool developed by DRDC is called HADES (Host-based Anomaly Detection Extensible System). It is a software framework whose OCS capabilities complement those of similar tools on the market.
DRDC - VRC requires the specialized services of 1 Programmer/Analyst Level 2 (A.7) to provide the expertise required as part of this research program.
Work include:
.1 Analyze the ICS
.2 Test Intrusion Detection Systems
.3 Improve the software framework HADES
.4 Develop/improve algorithms for HADES
.5 Test HADES on a non-operational version of the ICS
.6 Deploy HADES on an operational version of the ICS
.7 Attend workshops, demonstrate technologies
.8 Improve the KS-2 test bed
Contract Duration:
This requirement is separated in 4 periods.
- Firm Portion: from date of Contract award or April 1st 2022 whichever is later to March 31 2023
- Option 1: from April 1st 2023 to March 31, 2024
- Option 2: April 1, 2024 to October 31, 2024
- Option 3: November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025
Each of the option periods may be exercised separately. The exercise of the options is dependent on the results of the previous period's work and the availability of funding for this program. DRDC - VRC will decide whether or not the option periods are exercised.
