Description
1 The United Nations has a requirement for Provision of Structured Cabling Services and Disassembly of Telecommunications Infrastructure on a long term basis, in support of MONUSCO.The contract is planned to be established for an initial period of two (2) years with an option to extend for further One (1) one-year period (2+1) at the discretion of the United Nations, making the total 3 years.
MONUSCO intends to procure cabling services and cabling materials for various locations in its areas of operations in the DRC, Uganda and Rwanda. This is a task order-based contract. MONUSCO will issue a task order indicating the elements to be installed, drawings, and all other technical information in reference to Typical LAN Cabling Work Components. The invoicing must occur only after the completion of each task order.
2 Technical Requirements
2.1 Cabling Services (Installation and Disassembly)
MONUSCO is seeking a Contractor to:
a) Perform and maintain and/or
b) Disassemble and remove cabling services throughout its areas of operations in the DRC, Uganda and Rwanda.
The Contractor must have the capacity to mobilize within the number of days (specified in Installation and Disassembly Time Frame tables) from the issuance of Task Order for any of the said locations within the DRC or Uganda or Rwanda as required.
Although CITS anticipates more sites requiring structured cabling in the future, CITS has determined the following sites, reliant upon expansion of mandate will require structured cabling or its disassembly.
These sites are (but not limited) to the following:
1) Kinshasa,
2) Goma, and
3) Entebbe.
A task order will be used to initiate an installation or disassembly with removal. As needs assessments, and planning remain ongoing, the number of locations that will require cabling services (and materials) or disassembly with removals are not clearly defined at this time. MONUSCO, however, has estimated that it will need up to ten (10) sites or locations requiring structured cabling services and/or disassembles over the period of the contract.
