Overview :

Purpose of Assignment:

The rehabilitation of the paved visitor's car park and installation of fixed bollards at the UN Annex premises in Rhodespark, Lusaka.
Scope of Works:

The scope of work shall include the following:

a) Clearing the stockpile of pavers at the UN House premises (Longacres) for selective reuse at the proposed site at the UN Annex upon rigorous quality inspection and checks by the Contractor in the presence of the UNDP Engineer.
b) Removal of the existing pavers in the car park, accurate levelling and compaction (that should meet the drainage requirements of the car park - 96 % of modified AASHTO density) and reinstallation of the pavers to the road edge. The estimated area is 685.75 square meters, and actual measurements will be taken during the site visit.
c) Install painted fixed bollards embedded in concrete with reflective tape strip at centre to centre intervals of 1.0m.
d) Painting of line marking and signage on the paved car park.
e) Painting of the existing fixed bollards along Andrew Mwenya Road and dressing in reflective tape
f) Removal of the existing car park kerbs and installation of new kerbs.

Site Visit

The site visit is scheduled to be on Thursday 28 April 2022 at 10:30 Hours at the UN House along Alick Nkhata Road in Longacres and thereafter to the UN Annex in Rhodes Park.
