Description
Overview :

UNDP Vietnam seeks 01 qualified local institution/consulting firm for a research for establishing the concrete brick’s maintenance and curing process in accordance with Viet Nam’s climatic conditions

The Institute of Building Materials is currently conducting a research on causes of cracking and water infiltration prevalent in buildings in Viet Nam using CBB. Preliminary results suggests multiple factors such as CBB product quality and building design and construction. The research identifies 3 factors affecting NFB prodcuct quality: i) control of raw materials and their mix proportion; ii) mixing process of raw materials;  and   iii)  maintenance and curing of CBB. In addition, expert opinions suggest that among these three factors from NFB production,  maintenance and curing of NFB products is the most significant.

Recognizing the need for a research on the maintenance and curing process for CBB  that is appropriate for the climatic conditions, in the 2018 project work plan, the Project plans to recruit a firm/contractor to support the improvement of maintenance and curing of CBB.

The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
