GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Project ID No. P176548

 

The Solomon Islands Government has applied for financing in the amount of US$89.12 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project will include the following components.

Component 1: Climate Resilience and Safety Investments in the Aviation Sector

  • Subcomponent 1.1: Honiara Airport Infrastructure Investments
  • Subcomponent 1.2: Munda Airport Infrastructure Investments
  • Subcomponent 1.3: Santa Cruz Airfield Infrastructure Investments
  • Subcomponent 1.4: Modernization of Air Navigation Systems
  • Subcomponent 1.5: Regional Airport Maintenance

 Component 2: Climate Resilience and Safety Investments in the Road Sector

  • Subcomponent 2.1: Malaita Bridges Improvement
  • Subcomponent 2.2: Noro Roads Improvement

 Component 3: Institutional Strengthening and Project Management

  • Subcomponent 3.1 Technical Assistance
  • Subcomponent 3.2 Project Implementation Support

 Component 4: Contingent Emergency Response

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (November 2020) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. The World Bank arranged the publication on its external website of the agreed initial Procurement Plan dated May 3, 2022 on the World Bank’s external website for SIRAP2: https://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/document-detail/P176548?type=projectsand will publish all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.

Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online, on the World Bank’s external website, SIRAP website and Solomon Star and/or Islandsun National newspapers for National circulation.

Prequalification/Initial Selection of suppliers and contractors will not be required.
