BACKGROUND

WHO has supported the Ministry of Health (MOH) in developing health facility standard on quality of health care under 5 Good 1 Satisfaction Policy for DokChampa accreditation. Based on requests from MoH, WHO will further support to develop a guideline and implement the policy and the standard, and build the capacity of the assessors of the standards.

 

PURPOSE/SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY

Support the government to develop guideline and to implement 5 Good 1 Satisfaction policy and DokChamp accreditation using the agreed standard.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT

  • • Review relevant documents and regulations governing health service delivery in Lao PDR
  • • Analyze regulatory regimes for service delivery through document review and develop recommendations on that -Develop assessment instructions and training materials for assessors
  • • Support the assessment team to conduct assessment of the 5Goods 1Satisfaction standard

 

METHODS TO CARRY OUT THE ACTIVITY

  • • Meetings with the supervisor and the team in WHO country office
  • • Meetings with MOH stakeholders and relevant partners
  • • Developing documents in consultation with stakeholders

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

Essential:  University postgraduate master’s degree in public health or health care management

 

EXPERIENCE

Essential: At least 7 years of work experience in public health / development, with a special focus on health system quality

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • • Strong communication and strategic thinking in written skills and presentations
  • • Analytic skills
  • • Good knowledge in excel and/or a statistical software
  • • Ability to work harmoniously as a member of a team, adapt to diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and maintain a high standard of personal conduct

 

LANGUAGES

Fluency in English is essential

 

COMPETENCIES

  • • Producing results with quality on time
  • • Communicating in a credible and effective way

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • STARTING DATE: 1 February 2021
  • DURATION OF CONTRACT: 60 days of working
