II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
Red Kite’s IT infrastructure currently comprises hardware principally co-located in their current MSP’s datacentre, with some on-site at Red Kite’s Head Office in High Wycombe. Red Kite also has dedicated communications line to the current MSP’s primary and secondary datacentres and takes a number of other services as part of the managed services provision.
This contract encompasses two areas — the transition from the current to the new MSP and the ongoing managed services provision.
The transition will involve migration of the data and systems to a private cloud platform hosted by the new MSP, secure disposal of the existing hardware and provision of new communication lines to allow connectivity between RK and the new MSP’s datacentres.
The ongoing service will include:
— private cloud hosting;
— backup and disaster recovery;
— full service desk provision, including an on-site resource at RK’s Head Office;
— systems monitoring;
— support for infrastructure components and triage for 1st line and 2nd line issues across all subjects; and
— penetration testing.
Red Kite is implementing a far-reaching program of digital transformation, which includes the intention to migrate as many systems as possible to Software as a Service (SaaS) and public cloud delivery models. The new MSP will therefore also be expected to actively support Red Kite on this journey along the spectrum from colocation to public and/or hybrid cloud, which may begin in as little as 12 months after contract commencement.
