Tender Details
FRNSW plans to employ suitable DC-to-DC battery chargers and stand-alone Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries with built-in or separate battery isolation devices to power such “Vehicle as a Node” telecommunications electronic devices, with power to the charger to be sourced from the vehicle’s alternator and/or from using solar power to charge the batteries, into most of its firefighting appliances and specialist firefighting and response vehicles.
Initially, approximately 730 DC-to-DC battery chargers and approximately 730 LiFePO4 batteries with built-in or separate battery isolation devices will be sourced for installation into firefighting appliances and specialist firefighting and response vehicles, with ongoing demand of up to around 20 chargers and/or batteries per annum over the next five years. These quantities are to be used as a guide only.
