The United Nations Development Programme in Jamaica is looking to engage an individual consultant to support the execution of The Bahamas’ Third National Communication/Biennial Update Report (BUR1), Green Climate Fund projects with a tie into the TNC/BUR1 – i.e. the resilient Bahamas health project, the development of the NDC, the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and the EU-CARIFORUM/Health National Adaptation Plan (H-NAP). The Climate Change Adaptation Specialist will support the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection (DEPP) and work in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ staff of the Ministry of Environment and Housing/Department of Environmental Planning and Protection.

The Consultant shall report to the Director of the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection and work in coordination with the National Project Coordinator (NPC) and the UNDP Jamaica Country Office focal point.
