Under the direct supervision of the Data Management and Research Specialist based in the Migrant Protection and Assistance (MPA) Unit in Geneva (IOM Headquarters) and in coordination with the MPA and ICT units in IOM RO Brussels, the successful Service Provider will be responsible for conducting a needs assessment and producing a business analysis report with the functional and interface requirements detailed as a prerequisite for developing an interface between MiMOSA and other case management and referral systems (i.e. the Return and Reintegration Tool (RIAT) developed by the European Commission).

The Service Provider will be expected to:

  1. Obtain the requirements from relevant stakeholders (IOM MPA HQ, MPA and ICT RO Brussels, IOM Country Offices in the EEA region, IOM counterparts, MiMOSA team) to understand IOM’s and counterparts’ operational systems in place, analyse the existing standalone databases/applications and how they could be interconnected.

  4. Analyse the requirements of hardware, software and resources required (human, financial) to implement and maintain the interface and prepare a management plan for the short and long-run.
  5. Ensure the implementation of IOM ICT standards, policies and guidelines, with regards to the solution recommended for implementation. Consider data protection aspects/limitations as well pertaining to IOM’s counterparts.
