The CAP3D – CAP for economic, environmental and social sustainability project’s objective is to influence the knowledge, attitude and behaviour of farmers, rural stakeholders and the general public –among whom school children and their teachers, toward the CAP’s contribution to: The 3 dimensions of sustainability (economic, environmental, social) Comprehensive sustainable growth by creating synergies between the three dimensions of sustainability; The EU’s political priorities for sustainable growth (Green Deal) as a policy that has experience in tackling complex sustainability issues in a balanced way. To reach this objective, the activities of the project are going to be divided in 4 thematic WPs: CAP for Economy, CAP for Environment, CAP for Society, CAP for Economy, Environment & Society. The first 3 WP are going to focus on the CAP’s contribution to each dimension of sustainability although constantly underlying the interlinkages with the other dimensions and targeting all target audiences. The last Work Package is going to focus on the CAP’s contribution to balanced sustainable growth by favouring interlinkages between the three dimensions of sustainability, as well as raise awareness among the project’s target audiences on the CAPs relevance within the context of the new Commission’s political priorities (Green Deal). The CAP3D proposes a coherent package of actions in order to reply to perception factors that hamper the reality of a policy that has been putting efforts to embrace the three dimensions of sustainability in a balanced way well before the current global and EU policy agenda emerged. The project puts in evidence the CAP as a comprehensive and future oriented policy articulated around the three pillars of sustainability and promoting widely accepted policy tools focused on knowledge and innovation and thus promotes the CAP as a policy able to stand at the forefront of the Commission’s current and future political priorities.
