Description
https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Notice/a47e294b-63a1-436d-84fb-8a930c0cba71Floors 5 and 5A of the multi-storey car park have been identified as an area of concern following a recent suicide prevention risk assessment of the site.
The intention of the new fencing is to prevent anyone from gaining access to the edge of the top deck of the car park by way of a complete 2.5m high barrier in all locations.
The contractor must ensure that any ledges or foot holds are avoided as well as any means to bypass the fencing where if this is the case (for example adjacent stairwells where the profile of the building chamfers in) infills may be required.
The contractor is to price for the supply and installation of new hot dip and galvanised (to BS EN ISO 1461:1999) cold rolled steel palisade fencing as described in this schedule of works and in any accompanying documents provided.
The Main Contractor is required to programme and co-ordinate the work of any subcontractors and should plan for the works to be completed in 6 weeks.
