Synopsis:
This prospectus is being issued to solicit applications for a concession campground, day use area and cabin rental special use permit for the Chattahoochee & Oconee National Forests, USFS Region 8, located in Georgia.
A permit will be issued to provide high-quality public service for the operation and maintenance of government-owned recreation facilities. One applicant will be selected for all offerings.
The Chattahoochee & Oconee National Forests anticipate choosing a successful applicant(s) in December 2019, with the intention of operations beginning in time to provide services for the 2020 recreation season.
The Chattahoochee & Oconee National Forests concession prospectus sites are located on the Blue Ridge and Chattooga River Ranger Districts. The prospectus offers one Appalachian National Scenic Trail Recreation Area and a total of 4 single family campgrounds (200 sites), 2 group campgrounds (5 sites), 1 cabin, 3 RV sewer waste stations, 5 picnic grounds, 5 group picnic grounds with shelters, 5 boat ramps, 4 swim beaches, 3 trails and 3 trailheads.
