The Financial and Contract Management Unit (FCMU-WB/AFD) of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Engineering Design and Construction of water supply network in the city of CUITO – comprising the detailed design and construction of 50 kilometers of network developed among mostly the south areas of the city and 5,000 household connections serving mostly peri-urban areas, followed by construction works The Design and Build contract consists of the following phases and durations: Design phase of 8 months (7 months for design and 1 months for Client’s comments); Construction phase of 18 months; followed by Defects liability period (DLP) of 12 months.   Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s  “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing"  dated July 2016 and revised in November 2017 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 09:00 am to 03:00 pm at the email address given below. The Bidding document in English may be obtained electronically free of charge by interested eligible Bidders by email at the address below. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 (Angola time) on August 24, 2021. Electronic Bidding will be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of USD 75,000.00 (seventy-five thousand) or an equivalent in local currency or any freely convertible currency For Electronic Bids, bidders must include a scanned copy of the Bid Security in the bid and submit the original Bid Security by courier to the FCMU on September 9, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend virtually via Skype at 10:00 (Angola time) on August 24, 2021.
