Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is part of the project OSRO/GAZ/703/ITA entitled: “Promoting resilience and livelihoods in the Gaza Strip through equitable modernisation of the fisheries and aquaculture value chain” implemented by FAO. This two-year project, commenced in October 2017, seeks to realise the following outcome: ‘Gazan fishers are enabled to use a new approach in high value fish production through an open sea cage farming social business’, by successfully achieving the following 2 outputs: 1) an open sea cage culture farm is installed and capacities of the fisheries member institution(s) are developed to manage it as a profitable, social business; 2) capacities and the enabling environment are reinforced to support marine fish farming. Thus, the awarded contract for this RFP will play a crucial role in the overall success of this project.
