Assignment Description   The World Bank Group is seeking to recruit a survey implementation firm (henceforth the Consultant) to implement the technology adoption survey in Ethiopia. The TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION SURVEY aims to achieve the following objectives: To generate a firm-level database on the extent of technology adoption in Ethiopia. To collect data on absorptive capacity and key barriers of technology adoption in Ethiopia. To collect data on the effect of technology adoption / automation on firms operation decisions, including the recruitment of skilled and unskilled labor. To inform policies for improving firm competitiveness, technology adoption and job creation in Ethiopia. A total of 1,500 interviews are expected to be carried out by phone with managers and/or owners of the firms; the survey will cover establishments with 5 or more employees. The survey is planned to be implemented across different sectors, including establishments in agriculture, manufacturing, and services. The World Bank now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
