Assignment Description   ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION The survey aims to achieve the following objectives: 1. To generate a firm-level database on the extent of technology adoption in Brazil. 2. To collect data on absorptive capacity and key barriers of technology adoption in Brazil. 3. To collect data on the effect of technology adoption / automation on firms operations decisions, including the recruitment of skilled and unskilled labor. 4. To inform policies for improving firm competitiveness, technology adoption and job creation in Brazil. A total of 2,200 interviews are expected to be carried out by phone with managers and/or owners of the firms; the survey will cover establishments with 5 or more employees. The survey is planned to be implemented across different sectors, including establishments in agriculture, manufacturing, and services.
