ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW Labor Market and Skills Assessment Survey in Turkey Assignment Countries:- Turkey ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION Project Strengthening Economic Opportunities for Syrians under Temp Protection and Turkish Citizens, funded by EU Facility for Refugee Integration in Turkey seeks to enhance Turkish Govts capacity to assess emand for occupations and skills, esp. in provinces with high incidence of Syrians under Temp Protection. TOR seek to conduct demand-side survey to identify skill needs from a rep.sample of firms in Turkey, with 10 or more workers in 12 regions (NUTS-1 level). Survey will collect info on main occupational profiles and skills in need among Turkish employers, with special focus on role of socio-emotional skills, and employers preferences for hiring refugees. Survey should also shed light on how demand for critical skills and occupations has evolved during COVID 19 pandemic and is likely to evolve in future, given ongoing trend of labor market automation and green transition. The survey aims to cover both manufacturing and services sector. Survey shd. represent urban and rural areas. FUNDING SOURCE The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following:- BANK BUDGET- Strengthening Economic Opportunities for Syrian under Temporary Protection and Turkish Citizens in Selected Localities ELIGIBILITY Eligibility restrictions apply: [Please type list of restrictions] INDIVIDUAL / FIRM PROFILE The consultant will be a firm. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Interested firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest. Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html) NOTES Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding. Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification.
