ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW Assignment Title: 1277560- Representative survey on Afghan refugees in Tajikistan Assignment Countries:- Tajikistan ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION Hiring a survey firm to carry out a survey on Afghan refugees in Tajikistan Purpose of the Consultancy The consultancy will carry out a survey on a sample of about 1,500 Afghan refugee households, which should be representative of the full population of Afghan refugees currently residing in Tajikistan. The first objective of this study is to better understand the profile and labor market aspirations of Afghan refugees currently residing in Tajikistan, by collecting detailed data on a representative sample of refugees including on household demographics, employment histories and aspirations as well as their perceptions of living in host communities. The second and related objective of the study is to identify the current and future needs for support of refugees, in particular with respect to social assistance and labor programs.
