ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW Assignment Title: 1274122- Technical Assistance to Support the LAUTRA Project Preparation: Feasibility Study, Guidelines and Technical Assistance for Mangrove Rehabilitation Planning Assignment Countries:- Indonesia ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION The proposed consultancy will provide the following preparatory activities to support the World Bank LAUTRA project. Specifically, the consultancy will deliver, technical assistance to support project preparation, mangrove rehabilitation feasibility assessment and guidelines: (1) Collect and analyze data on the characteristics of Indonesias mangrove ecosystem, including reviewing different methods of mangrove rehabilitation and surveying and proposing sites for mangrove rehabilitation; and (2) Prepare detailed guidelines for mangrove rehabilitation that can be used by key implementing agencies (KLHK, BRGM and KKP, particularly) during the project delivery, and (3) Implement a capacity building program to ensure that the relevant knowledge is absorbed, distributed and utilized.
