The UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Solomon Islands, on the ground since 1999, has earned a reputation as a trustworthy development partner in the collective effort of supporting Solomon Islands in achieving the objectives of the National Development Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals. The UNDP office in Solomon Islands, based in Honiara has a projected 2021 delivery of above US$6M. Given the state of emergency in the Solomon Islands due to the Covid-19 situation, travel to Honiara is extremely difficult. The UNDP office is looking for a short-term consultant to provide specific support to the Finance Unit for a period of 4 1/2 months up to mid/end January 2022. The consultant for this short-term assignment will work closely with the Operations Manager and the Finance team to support specific deliverables in finance and operations transactions, ensuring that transactions are processed in a timely manner, while adhering to the office policy and procedures.
