Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV)
University intends to purchase an Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) including riverine measuring sensors as follows: side-scanning sonar, Multibeam Echosounder, ADCP, laser scanner, VRS-GNNS, water quality senor (cf. options).
Turku
The minimum, compulsory requirements are:
- Autonomous navigation including route planning capability
- Autonomous object recognition
- Remote control capability for navigation and sensors (as options 1-5)
- Effective measuring speed of 2 knots in fluvial environment
- VRS-GNSS position and GNSS-compas
- Inertia measurement unit with 0.03 degree detection level (roll & pitch)
- Minimum 4 h battery life in fluvial environment
- Protected thrusters
- Softwares and firmwares (windows) installed
- ASV and all selected options should be installed and ready to use
- Training in Finland at Univ. of Turku or riversite in Finland
- Define annual maintenance fee and software licences
- Payload minimum 5 kg (dry weight)
- Detachable to Sontek M9 ADCP (the present, existing device of the University)
A tender must also include the following options with a price for each option:
OPTION1: ADCP integrated to ASV
- ADCP for riverine measurements
- Scaling in flow value pixels by depth (down to centimeter pixel size)
- Software (windows) for flow and discharge measurements
- ADCP suitable for bathymetric mapping
OPTION2: Side-scanning sonar integrated to ASV
- Side-scanning sonar capable for shallow water bathymetry (under 1m depth)
- Software (windows) for bathymetric mapping
OPTION3: Multibeam Echosounder integrated to ASV
- Multibeam Echosounder capable for shallow water bathymetry mapping (under 1m depth)
- Software (windows) for bathymetric mapping
OPTION4: Laser scanner integrated to ASV
- Near-infrared wawelength
- Weight less than 1,5 kg
- Scanning distance 100 m or more
- Software (windows) for laser scanning and 3D mapping
OPTION5: Water quality sensor integrated to ASV
o Conductivity
o Temperature
o pH
o Turbidity
- Software (windows) for water quality sampling
• Define annual maintenance fee and software licences of Option 1-5.
The use of options is at the sole discretion of the University. Options are used in the price comparison.
