As part of UNECA’s Resource Mobilization Strategy and Implementation Plan for 2021 – 2022, UNECA intend to accelerate our efforts to seek out a wide range of new and emerging Development Partners to support and fund UNECA’s programme of work. For the success of this effort, UNECA would like access to a global databases that provides statistical and analytical information on Donors, funding sources, Call for Proposals, and emerging Tenders and Grants. The platform isinvisioned to be a standard for development funding intelligence, early-stage sector information and tenders and grants, tracking 850+ funding sources each day and provides early information on future funding by assessing a database that tracks 600,000 (or more) sources for the latest news and intelligence on funding from local, national and global media and donor sources. Access to this database should allow UNECA to identify the right Development Partners including substantial information on the funding strategies, funding budgets and modalities for accessing these. Further the portal should help UNECA learn about funding opportunities and partnerships much earlier.
