GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE     The People’s Republic of China Henan Flood Emergency Rehabilitation and Recovery Project Loan No. ： L0543A Project ID No. ： P000543   The People’s Republic of China has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 1,000,000,000 equivalent from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) toward th e cost of Henan Flood Emergency Rehabilitation and Recovery Project, which intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services, consulting services and eligible expenditure to be procured under this project.   The project will include the following components ：   Component 1- Zhengzhou Post-disaster Recovery Program This component will finance civil works and goods required for rehabilitation and reconstruction activities in the water and flood management, urban and transport sectors in Zhengzhou municipality. The specific procurement contents of this component include: (1) integrated Jinshui River management project, including riverbank protection, river dredging, reconstruction of riverside roads and bridges, improvement of drainage and sewerage systems, and riverside green spacing and river ecosystems, amongst others; (2) rehabilitation of rural roads and bridges; (3) rehabilitation of the Ying River in Dengfeng City; (4) development of an integrated flood risk management system and strengthening the capacity for emergency response; and (5) project management support for capacity building in procurement, financial management, environmental and social (ES) management and other technical areas.   Component 2- Xinxiang Post-disaster Recovery Program This component will support activities to recover damaged infrastructure in the three sectors in Xinxiang municipality. The specific procurement contents of this component include: (1) rehabilitation of rivers and canals including river dredging and dike strengthening; (2) rehabilitation of national and provincial highways, urban bus terminals and purchase of electrical buses; (3) rehabilitation and improvement of urban drainage systems; (4) development of integrated flood emergency response system; and (5) project management support.   Component 3- Jiaozuo Post-disaster Recovery Program This component will finance interventions to support the recovery of Jiaozuo municipality.
