The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) requests a tender for inception design for a new cut and cover tunnel at Nesbraut (49-03_04), from the intersection at Snorrbraut to the intersection at Grensásvegur.

Reykjavík: Nesbraut (49-03_04), from the intersection at Snorrbraut to the intersection at Grensásvegur.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The Project involves the design of two alternatives, a new cut and cover tunnel under the Nesbraut (49-03_04) highway, approx. 1,5 km long and a conventional road tunnel under Nesbraut (49-03_04) highway, approx 2.5km long. Adjustment to the existing road at Nesbraut on the eastern side will be east of the intersection at Grensásvegur(conventional road tunnel) and east of the intersection at Kringlumýrabraut( cut and cover). On the western side the addjustment will be in proximity to Snorrabraut/Bústaðavegur. Ramps to and from the tunnels at the intersection at Kringlumýrabraut need to be designed as part of the project.

According to the estimated time schedule of the project the design should be completed by November 30st 2022.

Tender will be opened in two stages 07.06.2022 and 14.06.2022.
