Contracting authorities Ríkiskaup, Iceland's central public procurement agency, represents The Skatturinn, Iceland Revenue and customs that are planning to buy a backend system to monitor and digitalise the tax free system in Iceland. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on suitable systems for the purchaser to be able to define a successful request for tender in the coming months.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The procurement tender that will follow will include assessment criteria consisting of price and quality indicators. Preliminary list of quality indicators includes prices, system functions, quality service, up-time capabilities, ease of use and total lifetime cost. The aim is to do procurement during 2021Q2 and Q3 with delivery in late 2021Q4 and 2022.

The next steps in the process will largely depend on the answers received. A procurement strategy (including choice of procedure) has not been established, and the following questions are intended to gain insight into available market solutions and will be used in order to assist with procurement strategy. Procurement strategy may involve using a system life‐time cost approach where all maintenance is included. Ríkiskaup reserves the right to contact those who reply for further information.
