New Ships for the Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue
The Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue is looking for new ships for its association that are constructed with their needs in mind.
Ríkiskaup, the Central Public Procurement Agency in Iceland, on behalf of the Icelandic Association for search and Rescue (Slysavarnafélagið Landsbjörg), (hereafter the Buyer) invites interested candidates to take part in this pre‐qualification for for a competitive procedure with negotiations regarding the build of three (3) new ships for the Buyer that are constructed with the buyer's needs in mind.
The aim is to select up to five (5) candidates from this pre-qualification process to take part in a Competitive Procedure with Negotiations (CPN), after which a contract will be awarded to one tenderer. The top five finalists of this PQP will be selected-based on the quality grade of their bids. The quality grade is described in section technical elements — self‐assessment.
In order to qualify in the upcoming CPN, participants in this PQP shall fulfil all criteria as laid down in these PQP documents.
It is the aim of the buyer to award a contract to one tenderer, a manufacturer of ships that meets all requirements of the ITT, to deliver three (3) fully equipped rescue ships that are apt for the challenging weather conditions of Iceland.
Furthermore, the buyer reserves the right to buy up to ten (10) additional ships from the selected supplier, that is thirteen (13) in total, provided that the same terms are applicable for the additional ships, considering only change in price levels due to applicable price Index.
