UNDP engages with Jordanians at all levels of society to provide support as the world faces increasing violent conflicts and political unrest. The Arab Spring and Syrian Crisis in particular, have shifted the level of violent extremism that resulted in dismembering community's cohesion and resilience. The role of community based organizations and non-governmental organizations have been crucial in strengthening social cohesion in communities affected by the Syrian Refugee Crisis.
