Procurement of a Video Conferencing System for a High Court in Mubende and a Prison in Kaweere, Uganda

Over the years, the Judiciary of the Republic of Uganda(the Judiciary) has implemented several E-justice initiatives that include case management, court recording and transcription, video conferencing; and acknowledged that the implementation is a process, not an event. Therefore, rolling out digitalization in increments while simultaneously tackling underlying challenges such as access to technology and electricity to ensure the reach and uptake of these digital solutions to even the most vulnerable. It is observed all over the World that the administration of Justice is faced with two main bottlenecks and that is delays and backlog.   Application   of E-Justice   is a solution to partly solve these bottleneck

In relation to the above, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is extending support to the Judiciary through the procurement and installation of a complete Video Conferencing System in the High Court in Mubende and the Prison in Kaweere.   This Invitation to Bid is extended to suitably qualified companies to supply, install and commission a complete Video Conferencing System in the High Court in Mubende and the Prison in Kaweere.

There will be a pre-bid conference, details of which are contained in the ITB.

Vendors must confirm attendance to UNDP latest by 5:00pm on the 3rd of May 2022. Only vendors who confirm attendance will be allowed entry to the venue of the pre-bid conference.

Please note that attendance is mandatory for interested bidders.

The deadline of bid submission on e-tendering, is no later than Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 16:59 hours (East African Standard Time).
