The life cycle of this qualification system will be 5 years maximum. CIE Group IT&T has annual requirements for renewal of software licensing and maintenance support for a variety of software systems, infrastructure systems and security products. The CIE Operating Companies (Irish Rail, Bus Éireann, Bus Átha Cliath amd CIE Tours International) may also have particular requirements for software licensing and maintenance support services from time to time.
