It is a requirement of this tender that if the bidder is UK based they must hold a valid registration with Companies House. Where the bidder is UK based but not registered at Companies House they must be able to verify to the Council's satisfaction that they are trading from the address provided in the tender and under the Company name given (2A.3).
Bidders are advised to familiarise themselves with the instructions contained within the Compliance Document (Appendix A) and fully complete with the requested information.
A Creditsafe credit scoring check will be ran on registered Company Name and Company Number provided by the bidder. Where the Resulting Credit Rating Score is less than 30/100, the Bidder may be excluded from the tender process unless suitable financial information is provided that give satisfactory assurances to the Council regarding financial risk in appointing the bidder to the proposed agreement.
It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commence of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below:
— employer’s (compulsory) liability insurance = [10 000 000] GBP,
— product liability = [5 000 000] GBP,
— public liability insurance = [5 000 000] GBP,
— motor insurance = [5 000 000] GBP.
A summary of the expected community benefits has been provided as follows: The successful contractor will be required to provide 1 Modern Apprenticeships (MA’s) place within four months from award of the agreement who is obtained from a source agreed by the Council. The MA’s placement can be across a range of disciplines to be determined by the successful contractor. The contractor will be required to meet with Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit to discuss implementation prior to contract start.

Provider No. 1 will be required to provide 1 Modern Apprenticeship (MA), or equivalent, within four months from award of the contract who is obtained from a source agreed by the Council. The provider will be required to meet with Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit to discuss implementation prior to contract start. The MA placement can be across a range of disciplines to be determined by the successful provider;
(ii) all other providers:
All other providers on the framework (i.e. apart from provider ranked No. 1) will be required to provide the following Modern Apprenticeship, or equivalent opportunities when the cumulative level of spend detailed below is reached. MA’s are to be obtained from a source agreed by the Council. The MA placement can be across a range of disciplines to be determined by the successful provider.
Number of MAs Spend 1st MA cumulative spend reaches 500 000 GBP,
(iii) all providers:
All providers on the framework who’s cumulative level of spend is > 100 000 but < 500 000 GBP will be required to provide at least one training and/or work experience opportunity per annum. The provider will be required to meet with Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit to discuss implementation prior to contract start.
