INVITATION FOR BIDS

Construction of new Waste and Resource Management Center (WRMC) in Guraidhoo, Thaa Atoll

The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MoECCT) has received financing from The World bank and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract under the contract for the project Construction of new Waste and Resource Management Center (WRMC) in Guraidhoo, Thaa Atoll under Maldives Clean Environment Project. The Ministry now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for this project.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bid Registration

Interested bidders shall be registered to submit a bid. Registration will be open from the time of the publishing of this invitation until, 28th April 2022 via Email to [email protected] stating Reference No. of this Invitation, Project Name, Company name, email address and contact number. This tender is only open for registered parties.

Bid Security

The bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 17,000 ( Seventeen Thousand) or equivalent in USD  for the project. The bid security shall be valid for 118 days from the date of the bid opening.

Bid Validity and Bid Opening

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the NCIT building, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, before 11:00 AM (Maldivian Time ) on 17th May 2022. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted and Late bids shall be rejected.

The bids will be opened at 11:00AM on 17th May  2022 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
