UNICEF and WHO are seeking to establish Long Term Agreements (LTAs) for a duration of 3 to 4 years with qualified suppliers of manual wheelchairs, wheelchair seat cushions and wheelchair accessories.

900 million people around the globe are in need of one or more assistive technologies. This is an area in which UNICEF is committed to as part of the AT2030 programme. In partnership with WHO, UNICEF will add different assistive technology product ranges into our global supply catalogue, one of the first of which is wheelchairs, selected wheelchair accessories and wheelchair seat cushions. The range of wheelchairs, accessories and seat cushions represent the need across wheelchair users in different economic and geographic settings including, but not limited to paediatric wheelchairs, accessories and seat cushions. The primary focus of this tender and ensuing Long Term Arrangements (LTAs) will be on delivery of wheelchairs, accessories and seat cushion to UNICEF and WHO projects in low- and middle-income countries.
