1.The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the International Bank Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of the Medium Size Cities Integrated Urban Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract MSC-C/W/1.2.1 for Construction of bridges for the construction of the Eco-trail in the city of Chartak, Namangan region.

2.The Project Implementation Unit under Ministry of investments and foreign trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of bridges for the construction of the Eco-trail in the city of Chartak, Namangan region.

3.Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Recipients” Procurement in Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, dated July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018, and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4.Eligible bidders with the following main qualifications may participate in bidding:

• - The minimum average annual construction turnover is 7.2 billion Uzbek soums.

• Availability of liquid assets net of other current liabilities under existing contracts in the amount of: 2.9 billion Uzbek Soums.

• Participation in at least one contract that has been successfully or substantially completed and which is similar to the proposed work, where the cost of participation exceeds: 3.8 billion Uzbek Soums.

• Experience in the following key activities:

- Construction of a beam-type pedestrian bridge with a length of at least 50m.

5.Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document from the Project Implementation Unit at the address below during office hours 9.00-17.00.

6.Tender documentation in Russian may be obtained by interested eligible bidders upon written request to the address below. The document will be sent by e-mail.

7.Bids must be delivered to the address below before 16:00 hours, March 10, 2022. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives at the address below 16:00 hours,
March 10, 2021.

8.All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a bid guarantee declaration.
