Overview :

  1.  CV with at least three references;
  2. Applicant’s letter to UNDP/Confirmation of interest form;
  3. Technical proposal (to showcase requested experience and competencies); and
  4.  Financial proposal as in the attached template.

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is the United Nations agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. As a member of Inter-Agency Standing Committee, UN-Habitat responds to emergencies globally. To date, it has been engaged in humanitarian response in Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Sudan and many other countries.

N-Habitat established presence in mid-2018 and assigned a number of national professional staff in Aden, Sana’a and Al-Hudaydah, with the management and supporting team based in Amman, who remotely manages and provides technical and administrative guidance to the field team. 

UN-Habitat has established an excellent working relationship with the local authorities and is currently implementing a project portfolio that covers 8 cities, to develop city and neighbourhood profiling, and started recently working on Housing and WASH rehabilitation in Al-Hudaydah Governorate. UN-Habitat has worked closely with governorates and local community members to support reconstruction and rehabilitation of housing and infrastructure in areas hosting refugees and internally displaced persons.
