Overview :

UNDP is the UN's global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. It works with individual countries on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. UNDP Lesotho supports Lesotho’s development priorities laid out in the National Strategic Development Plan and through that, the achievement of the SDGs. The main focus areas of the UNDP Country Programme are Governance and Peace Building; Inclusive Economic Growth and; Environmental Sustainability and Resilience to Climate change.

The Government of Lesotho (GOL) in collaboration with UNDP developed a project titled “Reducing Vulnerability from Climate Change in the Foothills, Lowlands and the Lower Senqu River Basin”. This is a 6-year project funded under Global Environment Facility (GEF) and is aimed at increasing ecosystem resilience to climate change in the southern parts of Lesotho.

The project is due for Terminal Evaluation (TE) in-line with UNDP-GEF guidelines and this assignment will be carryout by a team of two independent consultants- one international consultant (team leader) with experience and exposure to projects and evaluations in regions and globally, and one local expert. Therefore, UNDP invites interested local experts to submit their applications for provision of services for the TE.
