Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

Het Erasmus MC is in 2020 gestart met de voorbereiding van een Europese aanbestedingsprocedure voor wasserijdiensten. Vanwege de Corona-pandemie is deze aanbestedingsprocedure vertraagd. De aankondiging voor de aanbestedingsprocedure is op 9 maart 2021 gepubliceerd (publicatienummer: 315065).

Gedurende de aanbestedingsprocedure bleek dat slechts twee leveranciers in staat waren om in de behoefte van Erasmus MC te voorzien, waaronder Cleanlease. Vanwege de schaarste op de grondstoffenmarkt was het voor de tweede leverancier niet mogelijk om de overeenkomst uit te voeren vanaf de aangekondigde startdatum van 1 februari 2022. Het Erasmus MC heeft de startdatum daarom gedurende de aanbestedingsprocedure gewijzigd in 1 augustus 2022. Deze nieuwe datum is gepubliceerd op TenderNed. CleanLease heeft aangegeven dat zij vanwege bedrijfsorganisatorische en bedrijfseconomische redenen enkel in staat is om na 1 februari 2022 een contractverlenging van tenminste twee jaar aan te gaan.
