Måsøy kommune [Måsøy Municipality] needs to procure a new fire engine. The current vehicle was condemned after an accident. The emergency service is currently being taken care of by a leased fire engine with a short mutual notice period.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

To ensure emergency services against fire and other accidents are taken care of a new permanent fire engine must be in place. This is because the leased fire engine stationed in Havøysund is up for sale, and if the vehicle is sold we have only one month to procure a new fire engine for the municipality and Måsøy Municipality is dependent on suppliers who can deliver a vehicle according to our requirement specifications within a short deadline, therefore the contracting authority intends to enter into a contract after the waiting period of ten days with the selected supplier. The contract will concern one fire engine with some equipment as described in the requirement specification.

For part ll procurement §8-18. Prior Information Notice. The contracting authority considers that there is a legal basis for awarding a contract without announcing the competition in accordance with §8-17 (announcement of competition), and may, after the announcement has been decided, announce that the contract will be entered into. The notice will be sent to Doffin as a voluntary ex-ante transparency notice with the goal of entering into a contract with a supplier for delivery of a fire engine and some equipment to Måsøy Municipality.

§8-18. Voluntary ex-transparency notice The contracting authority considers that there is a legal basis for awarding a contract without announcing the competition in accordance with §8-17 (announcement of competition), and may, after the announcement has been decided, announce that the contract will be entered into. The terms in §5-2 are met in general and in particular with point c)
