II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

With support from UD, the contracting authority implements development projects in Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine. In general, the projects support the development of national geodata infrastructures, deliver new geographic data, improve the technical and professional capacity of collaborating partners and contribute to economic growth and achievement of the UN's sustainability goals.

IGIF — Integrated Geospatial Information Framework is a framework, developed by the UN and the World Bank. The project supports the development of national geodata infrastructures in developing countries.

Since the launch of IGIF, the contracting authority has taken an active part in encouraging the implementation of IGIF in Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine.

The contract includes four assignments — one for each country. Detailed information of the scope of the contract is given in requirement specifications.
